Natural Disasters in Cuba, Chile

Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) — Cuba registered a record high of 695 forest fires as over 20 000 hectares were blackened by forest fires from January to May.
It is taking positive steps to prevent forest fires.
Heavy snows fell in southern Chile recently, causing damage.
The worst heavy snow fall in the last ten years displaced about 6,500 inhabitants as of July 20, blocking roads and suspending electricity supply.
Eight areas were declared stricken ones and an emergency rescuing work is being done.
