Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) — A protest over fatal shooting of a man by local police turned into violence in London on August 6.

Protesters marched along the streets, demanding justice for Mark Duggan, a 29-year-old man shot dead by police. They strongly demanded an immediate punishment of the shooter. -0-

Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) — Employees of Verizon communications Inc. staged a strike in the U.S. on August 7.

About 45 000 workers attended.

They strongly protested the company side for seeking benefits only, saying that they’re asking workers to make concessions on things like healthcare, pensions and raises. -0-

Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) — A gunman shot to death eight people in Copley Township, Ohio, U.S. on Sunday over a family argument, local media reported.

A total of eight were killed in the shooting, including an 11-year-old and one person was injured.

Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) — The total number of unemployed Americans stood at 13.9 million in July, the Labor Department reported Friday. -0-

31 U.S. Soldiers Die in Helicopter Crash in Afghanistan
Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) — A helicopter crash in east Afghanistan on August 6 has left 31 members of the U.S. special forces dead.

The helicopter was conducting an “anti-terrorist war” in eastern Wardak Province. -0
