Day of Shining Star Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) — Events took place in different countries to celebrate the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

They included meetings, seminars, book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Myanmar, Romania and India between February 2 and 10.

On display at their venues were photos showing the revolutionary career and exploits of leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary activities of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

There were also works of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu and books and photos introducing the Korean army and people in the efforts to open up a golden age in building a socialist power.

“The Sun of Songun Shedding Its Rays All over the World” and other Korean films were shown.

Tha Win, secretary of the Yangon Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar, said that Kim Jong Il was not only the great leader of the Korean people but also a prominent leader of the world revolution.

His distinguished feat is that he enriched the Juche idea, founded by President Kim Il Sung, to provide the powerful ideo-theoretical weapon to the world progressive people struggling for independence, the secretary stressed.

Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the New Socialist Party of Romania, said that Kim Jong Il had enjoyed boundless reverence of all peoples for his distinguished ideo-theoretical wisdom, extraordinary leadership and noble popular traits.

S. P. Pathak, chairman of the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il, and Vipin Gupta, chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India, said that there was no such great person in history as Kim Jong Il who had performed titanic feats for the global cause of independence with his great idea and leadership. -0-
