KFA Ireland is the official branch of the Korean Friendship Association in Ireland. KFA Ireland was formed in 2013. Since the formation, KFA Ireland have carried out activities and actions in the north and the south, in solidarity with the Korean people.
KFA Ireland is an anti-imperialist organisation. As anti-imperialists, KFA Ireland supports every people who’s struggling against imperialism and for national liberation. As anti-imperialists, KFA Ireland also understand the importance of supporting the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Korean people’s struggle against imperialism and the national democratic revolution in south Korea. The DPRK is not only one of the last remaining fortresses of socialism and anti-imperialism, but have always been one of the main contributors to national liberation movements all over the world. If the DPRK wouldn’t exist, the oppressed peoples of the world would never have enjoyed the enormous support given to them in fields such as diplomacy, education, military etc.
The Korean Friendship Association have full recognition by the government of the DPRK. KFA President Alejandro Cao de Benós is Special Delegate with the Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries (High Ministry in the Government of the DPRK), and KFA Ireland is working together with comrades from the DPRK and the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front (AINDF) in south Korea.
